Now comes the fun part! After being admitted into the Honors College and invited to join ACES, students must confirm enrollment to ensure on-campus housing, a vital part of the ACES LLP requirements. After that, students gain access to all sorts of information and events including orientation materials, online chats with the ACES staff along, and game nights with the ACES Student board.

In order to join ACES, you must confirm your enrollment. When you confirm your enrollment to the University of Maryland by May 1 you will be automatically confirmed for enrollment in ACES. 

ACES students are required to live in Prince Frederick Hall for their freshman and sophomore year. In order to confirm your place in Prince Frederick, you must apply for housing by May 1. Missing the May 1 deadline may impact your ability to secure on-campus housing and participate in the ACES LLP.

Students should register for orientation with the Orientation Office. Students must attend an orientation program in the summer to build their fall schedules. The Honors College invites newly admitted students to attend Honors Orientation, but students also have the option to attend a regular orientation. The Honors College orientation dates are:

  • June 13-14, 2024
  • June 26-27, 2024
  • July 8-9, 2024
