Students in the ACES Minor are prepared for a future in cybersecurity through individual and collaborative cybersecurity work both inside and outside of the classroom, as well as leadership and professional development training. This multidisciplinary Minor offers an intensive curriculum in key technical, policy, behavioral, and social science components of cybersecurity.
This 16-credit curriculum aids students in developing the ability to apply advanced technical skills required to approach and resolve problems in cybersecurity. Once completing the Minor, students should understand the broad ramifications of cybersecurity advances and decisions not only in the field of cybersecurity but in legal, political, and economical contexts. Through experiential learning and collaboration across the cohort, ACES Minor students will additionally develop professionally as well as gain refined research skills.
As part of the University Honors College, the ACES Minor prides itself on outstanding academic performance. Though the minimum GPA for students to remain in good standing in the Honors College is a 3.0 cumulative, the ACES Minor requires a 3.2 GPA minimum in order for a student to complete the Minor.
