ACES Students Place Second in MACCDC 2017 Regionals

Twelve ACES students representing the University of Maryland received the second place at the 12th Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (MACCDC) Regional Finals.

The regional finals of MACCDC was held at the John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory during March 30 – April 1, 2017. Spread over 3 days, this year’s theme was the defense of an IoT middleware development company’s facilities and competing teams were evaluated on their ability to prevent further attacks and manage IT resources, all while developing additional applications for the company.
