First Year Coordinator
Mandy Callaghan is a first-year board member from Rising Sun in Cecil County, Maryland studying computer engineering. She is a tour guide in training through Maryland Images, a member of the electronics and testing subteam for the Terps Racing Baja car, and completes through Maryland's Club Running team.
Mandy joined ACES because she has always been interested in cybersecurity but did not have a lot of experience before attending the University of Maryland. Not only has she enriched her computer engineering degree through ACES, but she's gained a great group of friends. She joined the ACES Student Board because she enjoyed the bonding experiences that early events like brick painting and Powerpoint Night had given her, and wanted to help plan other new fun events. She also wanted to help represent the non-Computer Science majors in ACES as well.
In her free time, she loves to run, high jump, crochet, play with her dog, and listen to music. A fun fact about Mandy is that she has been to seven national parks and wants to visit them all! Her favorite so far has been Arches or Rocky Mountain.
